
Families can explore the Walker Art Center's latest exhibition, Frida Kahlo, at the Free First Saturday event Viva Frida!, from 10 am–3 pm Saturday, November 3.
Featured events include a performance of lively Mexican folk dances by Grupo Folklorico Mexico Lindo; a Best Buy Digital Imaging Booth where patrons can get their photo taken against a backdrop of vivid colors, flora, and fauna as seen in the exhibition; a bilingual story reading of Jonah Winter's Frida; art lab activities to make a Kahlo-inspired self-portrait and a portrait of Frida herself, with help from artist Gustavo Lira; and a gallery crawl.
Activities are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 am–3 pm. Gallery admission is free from 10 am–5 pm on Free First Saturday.
