Acer Inc. announces Q3 2007 operating income

Acer reports the Q3 2007 financial results approved by the Board of Directors today. The Q3 consolidated revenue reached NT$121.93B (US$3.74B), up 28.7% year-on-year or 30.4% from the previous quarter. Q1~Q3 consolidated revenue reached NT$314.97B (US$9.67B), rising 25.7% year-on-year.

Acer's Q3 operating income was NT$2.81B (US$86.16M), up 42.1% year-on-year or 43.1% from the previous quarter. Q1~Q3 operating income reached NT$6.72B (US$206.14M) representing 24% year-on-year growth.

For profit after tax (PAT), in Q3 Acer achieved NT$2.92B (US$89.53M) with earning per share (EPS) NT$1.24. Q1~Q3 2007 PAT was NT$10.56B (US$324.19M) with earning per EPS of NT$4.47.

Acer Inc. consolidated revenue includes revenues from other companies in which Acer Inc. has 50% or more ownership, and already deducts any revenues between Acer Inc. and these companies to avoid double-counting.

The exchange rate was US$1: NT$32.58.
