One of the highlights of the Museum Of Contemporary Art, Sydney program, Primavera is an annual exhibition for Australian artists 35 years of age and under.

The Primavera exhibition series was initiated in 1991 by Dr Edward and Mrs Cynthia Jackson and their family in memory of their daughter and sister, Belinda Jackson, a talented jeweller who passed away in 1990 at the age of 29.

The exhibition commemorates Belinda Jackson by celebrating the creative achievements of talented young artists who are in the early stages of their careers. Now in its seventeenth year, Primavera has developed a reputation for uncovering new talent in the visual arts, with previously featured artists including James Angus, Shaun Gladwell, Lisa Roet and Nell.

Primavera 2008 will be on view at Museum Of Contemporary Art, Sydney from 19 September to 30 November 2008. -- www.mca.com.au
