Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) announced today that it has won a contract to provide range support services to the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center (NAVAIR), Aircraft Division, located in Patuxent River, Md.

CSC estimates the value of the contract, which has a one-year base period, two one-year options and two one-year performance-based award terms, to be approximately $430 million if all options are exercised. This award follows and is incremental to a contract signed in December 2001. Under the terms of the contract, CSC will provide technical support services for the NAVAIR’s Atlantic Test Range, Air Vehicle Modification and Instrumentation, and Atlantic Targets and Marine Operations divisions. Services include program management; logistics; training and simulation; engineering and instrumentation; data collection and management; aviation modifications; laboratory and field testing; special programs support; data reduction and analysis; and administrative support. CSC provides on-site management, technical and administrative personnel to conduct analytical studies, engineering and software programming for hardware.

“Since 1978, NAVAIR has counted on CSC to provide support for its integrated warfare systems ,” said James W. Sheaffer, president of CSC’s North American Public Sector business unit. “By leveraging our expertise and experience gained from other domestic and international range engagements, CSC will continue to deliver sound operational results for our Navy clients.” -CSC
