Photographers of Tomorrow Revealed

Wallpaper, the leading international design magazine, has announced its Top Ten entries in World View with Sony Ericsson 2007, identifying creative photographic talent.

Wallpaper is the official global media partner of World View with Sony Ericsson 2007, which was launched last year to celebrate the photo journalism revolution spearheaded by the cameraphone.

The winner of Wallpaper*‟s competition will receive automatic entry into the international arm of the competition where they will go head to head with winning photographers from 24* countries worldwide – competing for the overall winning prize worth £10k.

Entries to the overall competition have been streaming in on email and MMS from around the world, from Europe to Central America to Asia Pacific, in a bid to be crowned winner of World View with Sony Ericsson 2007.

Entries will be judged by David Viggers, Reuters Chief Photographer UKI, Tony Briggs, internationally renowned celebrity photographer and Martin Wezowski, from the Creative Design Centre at Sony Ericsson.

Merran Wrigley, Head of External Relations, Global Communications from Sony Ericsson comments, “World View is really gaining momentum with over 60,000 entries received to date. Cameraphone photography is being taken more and more seriously as the quality of the images improve to that comparable with stand alone digital cameras. The photos we have seen so far are testament to how creative and original members of the public can be by using their cameraphone to capture spontaneous moments that occur when they probably wouldn‟t have their traditional camera. It‟s great to see people from so many different countries and backgrounds taking part in this global competition and sharing their creativity.”
The recently launched Sony Ericsson K850 Cyber-shot™ phone, equipped with a 5 megapixel camera, produces true digital camera results and is the perfect companion for capturing those spontaneous moments.

This year, entrants can get to see their images on the dedicated World View with Sony Ericsson website www.sonyericsson.com/worldview which features a page dedicated to each participating country, along with winning entry details and updates on World View‟s latest news. -Sony Ericsson
