Steve Young has written for several US television shows.
"Technology races far ahead. The producers are right on top of it, they see where it's going," he said.
"The writers sit behind, including the Guild, and just always have to play catch-up.
"We get paid very well. The problem comes when it's time to get paid fairly, that may be something else."
