The songs of the legendary Frank Sinatra take center stage for the Austin Symphony Sarah & Ernest Butler Holiday Pops on December 30th & 31st. "Simply Sinatra," featuring the vocal talents of Steve Lippia, salutes the legendary songbook of Ol' Blue Eyes in a dazzling concert event that showcases one of the world's most beloved artists.
Lippia and guest conductor Victor Vanacore will present an evening reminiscent of Sinatra's headliner concerts at The Sands Hotel in Las Vegas. This concert is being proudly sponsored by Mercedes-Benz of Austin.
Steve Lippia has become one of the most prominent, in-demand vocalists in the country and has quickly established his place among the finest interpreters of standards and traditional pop music in the nation. His youthful, energetic talent and powerful stage presence creates a perfect blend of classic with today.
This show will have you remembering Sinatra hits such as "My Kind of Town," "New York, New York," "I've Got You Under My Skin," "The Lady is a Tramp" and many more. This is one event you don't want to miss! Bring a picnic supper and get started on your New year's partying. Wine, water and soft drinks will be available for sale at the venue.
Start your New Year's evening on the right note. The Austin Symphony Orchestra presents "Simply Sinatra," Sunday and Monday, December 30 & 31, 2007, 8:00 pm at Palmer Events Center.
