Michael Schumacher will return to the track to test drive for Ferrari next week. The seven-time F1 champion, who retired after the 2006 season, will get behind the wheel of Ferrari's 2007 car at Barcelona, Spain, on Nov. 13 and 14, team spokesman Luca Colajanni said Tuesday.

"Michael expressed a desire to do it and we have always said we would be open to the possibility whenever he wished," Colajanni said, adding that for now it's only a one-time deal.

"There is no plan" for more tests, Colajanni said. "For us, it's useful to take advantage of his experience."

While Schumacher was a special adviser to Ferrari this season, he mostly stayed behind the scenes as his replacement, Kimi Raikkonen, won the title.

The 38-year-old Schumacher is one of the greatest drivers in F1 history, with 91 race wins and 68 pole positions. Pravda.ru
