Spansion: Main Flash Memory Supplier for Pioneer

Spansion Inc., the world's largest pure-play provider of Flash memory solutions, today announced that Pioneer Corporation has selected Spansion as its main Flash memory supplier for a wide range of memory solutions used in a variety of applications including automotive, digital consumer electronics and data storage. A leader in the Japanese digital electronics industry, Pioneer is known for its innovative and customer-focused audio, video and car electronics for consumer and business uses.

In addition to selecting Spansion as its main Flash memory supplier, Pioneer has accredited Spansion for its excellence in technology, quality and support for its products and solutions. Spansion is the only Flash memory company that has been accredited by Pioneer.

Spansion offers customers a complete line of Flash memory solutions, including MirrorBit(R) NOR, MirrorBit ORNAND(TM), MirrorBit SPI and MirrorBit Quad Flash solutions. Currently, Spansion(R) 128 Mb to 1 Gb MirrorBit NOR products and 4Mb-128Mb floating-gate products are used in car navigation and other automotive products, as well as in digital consumer electronics.
