Katherine McPhee, 23, who is the American Idol runner up, is reportedly engaged to boyfriend Nick Cokas, 42. The pair met in 2005 when they both performed in ‘The Ghost and Mrs. Muir.’ McPhee said they initially started out as friends, but their relationship evolved into love.
“He took me up to my San Francisco (American Idol) audition. We totally fell in love,” McPhee said. They have been dating a little over a year and sources say the pair are now engaged.
“Katherine is bubbling over with excitement for her upcoming wedding,” a source says. “She is all smiles when she talks about the planning. It sounds like everything is going very smoothly.” - Transworld News
