Twenty years after Mario landed in people’s homes with Super Mario Bros., the famed plumber blasts off into his biggest adventure yet, and it’s only available on Wii!
Super Mario Galaxy is a return to form for Mario as he spins, jumps, wall jumps and triple jumps in his quest for the Power Stars. Using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers, players travel from galaxy to galaxy, moving Mario with the Control Stick, making him jump with a single button push and initiating a spin move to combat enemies with a simple shake of the Wii Remote. The Wii Remote’s pointer capabilities let you point at the screen to collect Star Bits and shoot them at enemies.
The game features the innovative Co-Star Mode, a function that lets a second player assist in Mario’s journey. As player one controls Mario’s movements, a second player can use a second Wii Remote to point at the screen and collect Star Bits, stop enemies by holding them in place and help Mario perform a super jump. Player two can even cause a little mischief for Mario!
Take the leap into space with Mario and visit the game’s official website. Here you can read about Mario’s new suits, check out the galaxies and more!
