Nutcracker, the Northwest's favorite family holiday tradition, has been dazzling
The Nutcracker tells the charming story of Clara, her nutcracker doll, the Mouse King, a handsome prince, and, of course, the Sugar Plum Fairy. From the beginning of the magical fairy tale set at a festive party, to journeys through enchanted kingdoms and forests, to Clara's awakening from her dream, the timeless story of friendship and love will delight the entire family.
Presented by the Moscow Classical Ballet, The Nutcracker is a thrilling blend of beautiful music, colorful costumes, stunning sets, and breathtaking dancing. The esteemed dance company came into existence as the Young Ballet, the USSR Stage Choreographic Company, in 1966.
It was established by the USSR Ministry of Culture as a ballet troupe whose role was to tour the Soviet Union and foreign countries performing Russian classical ballet in its traditional form. The Moscow Classical Ballet, featuring many of Russia's finest young dancers, has performed in more than 30 countries around the world and over 200 cities in Russia. -- www.mccallumtheatre.com
