Kidman 'really, really scared' by paparazzo

Nicole Kidman has given evidence at a defamation hearing in the New South Wales Supreme Court today. The Oscar-winning Australian actress was called to give evidence by Fairfax Media, publisher of the Sun-Herald newspaper.

A NSW Supreme Court jury has found a January 2005 article in the paper defamed celebrity photographer Jamie Fawcett.

The jury found the article conveyed six defamatory meanings including that Mr Fawcett was "Sydney's most disliked freelance photographer" and had behaved in such "an intrusive and threatening manner that he had scared" Kidman.

Today Kidman told the court that she was "really, really scared" after the car she was in was pursued by Mr Fawcett on January 23, 2005.

She told the court she was close to tears and stressed.

She also said that her driver told her the paparazzi were driving like crazy.

Last week Kidman's driver, father and publicist gave evidence.
