Los Angeles Lakers Trade, It's Not Kobe

With everyone waiting for the LA Lakers to trade Kobe Bryant, they pull off a trade, but not involving Kobe. The Lakers trade is Trevor Ariza.

They traded forwards Brian Cook and Maurice Evans to Orlando today for Trevor Ariza.

General manager Mitch Kupchak announced on Tuesday that the team had acquired forward Trevor Ariza from the Orlando Magic for forward Brian Cook and guard Maurice Evans. This trade will help the Lakers save some cash, but Mud Free Sports believes this is a set up for a bigger trade involving the All-Star.

Look for a deal to be done by Christmas so that the Lakers and Phil Jackson can get on the same page before the long winter schedule takes hold in January. Their may be a team looking to package Ariza in a deal that involves Kobe, or will set up a three team trade that could finalize a deal. - Source: mudfreesports.blogspot.com
