Vartan Oskanian: The independence of Artsakh will be recognized by the international community

The Minister underlined that certain time is needed for it, but making a step backward, turning back the clock of history is excluded.

Sure, the negotiations on the future status of Nagorno Karabakh continue, but let everyone be sure that Nagorno Karabakh will sustain its existence and will reconfirm its security. That is why we must confidently make our investments in Karabakh. There is no question of closing the chain here: one hand we are assured that Karabakh will never be part of Azerbaijan, so that every cent that goes for Karabakh is eternal; on the other hand the stronger and more stable Karabakh and the stronger and more democratic the statehood, the easier it will be to realize our hope and purpose, i.e. reach the de jure determination of NKR status. Therefore, these two supplement each other, Vartan Oskanian said.

The Foreign Minister expressed confidence that in the near future it will be possible to jointly make Karabakh economically prosperous, politically strong and stable, and to make it a democratic political unit, which will favorably differ from its neighboring regions.
