Pizza Man Saves Kidnapped Woman

As he was delivering a pizza to a remote cabin in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, Chris Turner noticed a woman who was tied up, and as a result of his call to the police they were able to rescue her from her abductor.

David J Jansen, 46, of Snellville, Georgia, was arrested on charges of aggravated kidnapping and rape. The woman told the police that Jansen, whom she knew, had tricked her into a car, tied her up, driven 200 miles to the cabin and raped her.

Later Jansen had ordered a pizza and Turner had arrived to deliver it. Turner told WBIR-TV that as Jansen was signing the credit card slip a young woman briefly showed herself from behind the sofa and displayed her hands bound together.

The deliveryman returned to his van and called the police from a neighbour's house. The police then rescued the woman and arrested Jansen.
