
Five private homes in the Laurelford neighborhood will be festively decorated during the Baltimore Symphony Associates’ “Symphony Homes for the Holidays” weekend Thursday, December 6 through Saturday, December 8, 2007.
Visitors will have the opportunity to tour all five homes and be inspired by some unique decorating ideas to kick off the holiday season. Event co‐chairs Linda Svoboda and Salli Ward comment, “Thanks to the efforts of many people, we are delighted to share five elegant estate homes, beautifully decorated for a festive holiday season, with everyone in the Baltimore area. This event raises funds for the BSO’s Educational programs.”
Twelve floral designers will participate in decorating the homes in holiday splendor including Rutland Beard Florist; Hunt Valley Florals and Gifts, The Best You Can Be, Flowers by Chris, Wilhide’s Unique Flowers & Gifts, Flowers by Judy, Blue Sage, Lovely Manor Design Center, Flowers by Flowers, the Lutherville Garden Club, the Dutch Connection, and Misty Valley Landscaping.
The homes will be open on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, December 6 –8 from 10 am to 4 pm. Along with touring the homes, visitors can shop in the holiday boutique which features wonderful gift ideas, from jewelry to ornaments and more. And an on‐site café will be available for coffee, hot cider, and a quick snack. Both the Boutique and Café can be accessed without a tour ticket.
Proceeds for “Symphony Homes for the Holidays” benefit the educational programs of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, including Tiny Tots and Music for Youth Concerts, and Classic Conversations, a lecture series for adults.
