Joel Engardio made the film becuase he wanted to. Jehovah's witnesses did not make the film and in no way has the organization endorsed it. The fact is anyone can make a documentary. You are right in your estimation that as Christians Jehovah's Witnesses follow bible standards on sexuality in their personal lives. Obviously Joel is not and has not been a Jehovah's witness for quite some time.
