News Corp. Finds Religion, Buys Spiritual Website

News Corp. has acquired Beliefnet.com, a spiritual website that boasts over 3 million unique visitors a month, writes Samantha Chang.

News Corp. has purchased Beliefnet.com, the spirituality-based Web site Steve Waldman founded in 1999, according to Mediabistro.com.

Beliefnet.com won the General Excellence Online Ellie in 2007 last May, beating out Slate and ESPN.com.

Financial terms are not yet available.
