Asian Markets Trading Higher Friday

Asian and Pacific markets traded higher with a confidence after the announcement of the government of United States that plans to limit subprime related losses.

The following is the commentar from UBS.

"Most of the Asian markets traded higher on Friday after the U.S. government announced its plans to limit subprime related losses. In China, the CSI 300 index rose 1.4 percent making it the regional best performer. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index dropped 2.4 percent on the strong profit taking in local properties and bank stocks. China Railway, one of the world's largest construction companies, surged 27 percent on its first day of trading in Hong Kong. South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia were the other markets closing in negative. Commodities stocks were the major gainers for the day as the metal and oil prices advanced. Mitsui & Co. and Mitsubishi Corp., two of the largest commodities trading companies in Japan, were the major gainers among the commodities stocks. Exporters also surged led by auto companies Toyota Motors and Honda Motors, as the JPY declined against the USD." Via UBS.com
