The latest ANZ Job Advertisements survey reveals the number of jobs advertised in Australia hit a record high in November.
Positions in major metropolitan newspapers and on the internet increased by 0.7 per cent to more than 256,000 per week.
ANZ head of Australian economics Tony Pearson says November's figure is an increase of almost 37 per cent compared to a year ago.
"It's really indicating that the demand for labour remains very strong and that's really no surprise because the economy itself has got a considerable amount of momentum as we've seen from recent data," he said.
"That momentum is generating a lot of jobs." - By ABC Australia, Copyright
