Peter Pan will follow in the tradition of previous Christmas shows at the Citizens' from Joint Artistic Director, JEREMY RAISON, who has built a reputation for quality children's theatre and alternative Christmas shows including The Borrowers, Charlotte's Web and James and The Giant Peach.
We're delighted to welcome a veritable selection box of a cast, combining firm favourites and fresh new flavours - featuring Andrew Clark straight from his recent success in Hamlet as Captain Hook/ Mr Darling, Helen Mallon (NTS Wolves in the Walls) as Wendy and from smash Fringe hit Yellow Moon Beth Marshall as Mrs Darling and Keith Macpherson as Starkey. Peter Pan himself will be played by up-and-coming talent Robbie Towns, a graduate from RSAMD who recently debuted in Desire Under the Elms.
Responsibility for the creation of the mythical land of Neverland lies with JASON SOUTHGATE, whose previous design work for us includes James and the Giant Peach, The Bevellers and Hamlet. Expect surprises and quirky touches, from a designer who is well known for his intricate and creative designs.
Peter Pan is undoubtedly one of the most famous and best-loved stories for children, which has been enjoyed by generations.
Performances are open for review from Tuesday 4 December onwards. We are pleased to extend our press ticket allowance to one complimentary adult ticket and two complimentary children's tickets so that critics can bring along their very own young reviewers to Peter Pan. -- www.citz.co.uk
