Victorian Theatre Presents Christmas Tales

Move over Rudolph and Frosty and make room for a new holiday icon to "shine" when the heartwarming tale of The Littlest Light on the Christmas Tree comes to the Victoria Theatre, presented by Victoria Theatre Association's Young at Heart Family Series, December 15 & 16.

Based on the award-winning animated film, The Littlest Light on the Christmas Tree is a timeless, magical and musical tale about two unforgettable friends - an abandoned, discarded Christmas Tree light bulb, afraid and alone, and an eight-year-old boy who finds him and takes him home.

When the town suffers a blackout from a fierce winter storm, Little Light triumphs over all odds to "shine" the way for others "to see the light."

Featuring original songs destined to become yuletide classics, The Littlest Light on the Christmas Tree is a heartwarming story of a family who is guided by Little Light to the realization of just how much we depend on one another and how necessary it is to keep hopes and dreams alive. It's a story about the miracle of believing and the power of the human heart.

Directed by Luis Perez, The Littlest Light on the Christmas Tree features an original score by Peter Lewis and book written by Jim Hindman and Cheryl Stern with lyrics by Tommy Marolda and Larry Holofcener.

The cast of the touring production includes: Jessica Lyons (Maggie); Fred Harris (Colonel); Matt Cornish (Girthmore); Michael Glazer (Frank); Justin Flowers (Jeepers); Larry Johnson (Timmy); Jamey Grisham (Little Light / Watley); Molly Tower (Esther); James Nedrud (Mr. Goodley / Tinkering); and Amber Coartney (Melissa).

The stage production of The Littlest Light on the Christmas Tree is based on the award-winning animated film featuring the voices of Emmy and Tony Award® winners Jane Seymour and James Naughton.

The Littlest Light on the Christmas Tree is at the Victoria Theatre, December 15 & 16 at 1 p.m. & 3:30 p.m. each day. Come out early and enjoy special pre-show activities in the Victoria reception room on the second level, beginning one hour prior to each performance. -- www.victoriatheatre.com
