
The State Theatre has announced the addition of five attractions to its 2008 line-up including Rufus Wainwright (1/12/08), Rent (1/16-1/17/08), Go, Diego, Go Live! (1/25-1/26/08), Dame Edna: Live and Intimate (2/21-2/22/08), LOUIS C.K. (4/25/07), and Craig Ferguson (5/2/08).

Louis C.K. has appeared on Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Conan O'brien Show, and The Late Show with David Letterman. He was a member of the original writing staff that launched The Conan O'brien Show in 1993, creating many running bits on Conan's show that are still in use there today such as "Actual Items" and "The Staring Contest". In 1996, Louis made his own HBO Half Hour stand-up comedy Special. Around that time, he was hired as a producer and writer on the Chris Rock Show on HBO. In 1999, Louis won an Emmy for his work on the Chris Rock Show. Louis C.K. also wrote, executive produced, and starred in the short-lived HBO sitcom, Lucky Louis.

Before Craig Ferguson became the host of The Late Late Show in 2005, he had a diverse and eclectic career that encompassed film, television, and the stage. After several stints on the English comedy circuit, Ferguson brought his act to America in 1995 to star with Betty White and Marie Osmond in the short-lived ABC comedy Maybe This Time.
