Winter Storm Heads Into US Northeast

A major winter storm has moved from the U. S. midwest to the northeastern part of the country.

Sunday's wintry blast caused hazardous driving conditions and resulted in hundreds of flight cancellations at local airports.

Officials say both Chicago and Boston have received more than 25 centimeters of snow.

The storm follows last week's ice storm in the Midwest which contributed to the death of at least 13 people and left thousands of homes and businesses without power.
