Deutsche Börse Commodities' Gold-ETC Launched On Xetra

Deutsche Börse has further expanded its XTF segment for listed commodities on the electronic trading platform Xetra. ETC “Xetra-Gold” issued by Deutsche Börse Commodities has been tradable since Friday.

Xetra-Gold (ISIN: DE000A0S9GB0) grants investors the possibility to participate from the performance of the gold price. At the same time investors obtain the right of the gold being delivered to their local bank. Each unit certificate represents one gram of gold.

The annual fee for storing the gold amounts to 0.36 percent. No management fee will be charged.

ETCs have been tradable on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since November 2006. With the new ETCs, the offering has now increased to 48 products, including 28 ETCs on individual commodities, 19 ETCs on commodity indices and one ETC on a precious metals basket.

In legal terms, ETCs are collateralized debt instruments with an unlimited term and featuring no restrictions in terms of volume. They can be purchased and sold on an ongoing basis via Xetra just like equities, and offer a precise, transparent commodities exposure via recognized benchmarks. -- www.deutsche-boerse.com
