An Evening of Wine and Roses
WHAT: The Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia’s Valentine Day themed gala, the Taste of Love is an elegant black tie event held annually at the Ritz Carlton Buckhead. Attended by over 500 prominent Atlantans, guests are treated to a night of gourmet dining prepared by the chefs of the Ritz Carlton paired with variety of premium wine and entertainment by the renown band, Rhythm Nation. The gala includes a wonderful silent and live auction items include exotic vacation getaways, luxury items, sports packages, fine dining and unusual life experiences. Guests for the evening will include Mayor Shirley Franklin and former Atlanta Falcon Coach Dan Reeves and his wife Pam, Fran & Ron Terwilliger and Jim Jacoby. Keynote speaker will be Diane Van Deren, world famous ultra-marathoner. UCB Pharma is the presenting sponsor. This is a wonderful way to celebrate Valentine’s Day with your loved one and contribute to a great cause at the same time.

WHO: All proceeds benefit the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia. The Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia is a charitable, non-profit, volunteer and professional organization committed to the prevention and control of epilepsy, and to helping improve the lives of people who have epilepsy. The Foundation is the state voluntary health organization dedicated to the prevention and cure of seizure disorders, the alleviation of their effects, and the promotion of independence and optimal quality of life for people who have these disorders. Through its community involvement with employers, teachers, law enforcement officials, health care professionals, and individuals with epilepsy and their families, the agency is active in a broad range of programs. These programs include information and education, advocacy, support of research, job placement, camp scholarships, and the delivery of specialized services.
WHY: As the signature fundraising event for the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia the Taste of Love, all proceeds help prevent, control and cure epilepsy through research, education, advocacy, services, camperships and medication fund as well as go to ensure Georgians with seizure disorders are able to participate in all life experiences.
