Blair Says Britain Must Continue In Iraq, Afghanistan

Prime Minister Tony Blair says British troops must continue their missions in Iraq and Afghanistan during 2007.

In a New Year's message released today, Blair says the threat of global terrorism continues to menace Britain and other countries, and this is one reason why it is important for British troops to carry on with what he called the "battles in Iraq and Afghanistan."

Blair also says he remains committed to working to restart the peace process in the Middle East.
