Singapore audiences can look forward to two performances of Prokofiev’s immortal symphonic fairytale, Peter and the Wolf, by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra at the Victoria Concert Hall on March 8 next year. Tickets are selling fast, with limited tickets still available for sale.
Undoubtedly the most popular of classical works written for children, this delightful piece recounts how young Peter sets off into the woods against his grandfather’s advice, encounters a wolf, but eventually emerges victorious – with a little help from his friends. Hear how each character in the story is depicted by a different musical instrument, and make this an unforgettable musical outing for the family!
This performance is suitable for ages 5 to 13. The admission age for children is 5 years and above. Pre-concert activities commence at 10.15am & 12.15pm for respective shows. -- www.sso.org.sg
