Boston College Against Michigan State Football in Champs Sports Bowl

Boston College looks to extend the nation's longest bowl-winning streak against Michigan State Friday in the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando playing college football.

BC (10-3) rose as high as No. 2 in the BCS poll this year, with quarterback Matt Ryan soaring in the Heisman Trophy race. Ryan, the ACC Player of the Year, leads the nation's sixth-best passing offense. On Saturday, they look to win their eighth consecutive bowl game.

The Eagles are also close to having their first 1,000 yard rusher in four years if Andre Callender gets at least 64 yards.

Michigan State (7-5) has a few dynamic offensive weapons themselves. Running back Javon Ringer has rushed for 1,346 yards and backfield running mate Jehuu Caulcrick scored 21 touchdowns, while wide receiver Devin Thomas caught 75 passes for 1,226 yards.

The Spartans are one of nine teams in the country to average at least 200 yards a game rushing and receiving. However, the Spartans might meet their match against BC, who boasts the nation's best rushing defense and fifth-best in interceptions. - By Trans World News
