Colombian hostages release again delayed

The promised release of three Colombian hostages held by FARC rebels has again been delayed. Two helicopters of the International Red Cross have not been given permission to fly at night.

The two helicopters carrying medical staff arrived in the Colombian town of Villavicencio on Friday. Seven international observers, including Argentina's former President Néstor Kirchner, are also on their way. They have been asked to oversee the hand-over by Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, who has brokered the deal. Venezuelan officials are now waiting for the FARC rebels to designate the location and time of the hand-over.
