Dutch police fine hundreds for firework transgressions

Police in the Netherlands have handed out hundreds of fines in recent days for setting off fireworks too early. In metropolitican Amsterdam alone, poice sentenced 160 minors to community service.

The sale of fireworks began on Friday, but it is only permitted to light them from 10.00 a.m. this morning until 02.00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
