Britney Spears Taken To Hospital For Tests

There are reports pop starlet Britney Spears has been taken to hospital from her home, after police were called to resolve a custody dispute. Celebrity news website TMZ says Spears has been taken to a hospital for a "medical hold," which it described as a mental evaluation. Police "found her earlier this evening at her home under the influence of an 'unknown substance'," the site reports.

As we all know, drugs are indeed interesting and often even fun, but taking them while arguing with the police might not be the most sensible thing Britney Spears has ever done.

Britney Spears has been rushed to hospital in Los Angeles after a dramatic stand-off with police at her home last night (January 3). She was wheeled out of her home on a gurney and taken in an ambulance to UCLA Medical Center. Her medical condition is unknown, although it is being reported by that she was under the influence of an unknown substance when police arrived.

The drama began around 7 PM PT tonight when TMZ reported that Britney Spears‘ Beverly Hills home was surrounded by police cars, fire trucks, an ambulance and a police chopper. Apparently, Britney finally snapped and refused to return her two sons back to K-Fed tonight as per the court’s orders. At around 11 PM PT, Sean Preston and Jayden James were finally handed back to their daddy and the LAPD discovered Britney “under the influence of an unknown substance.” Paramedics wheeled her out of her home on a gurney and she has been taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on a “medical hold” (aka a mental evaluation). As soon as she came out of the ambulance, she flipped off the paparazzi. Last time they pissed her off she messed up one of their cars’ with an umbrella. I’d be careful, she’s in a delicate state.

Britney Spears and her younger son were rushed to hospital in ambulances today after a four-hour showdown in which she refused to hand over her children to former husband Kevin Federline despite a court order.

Aerial footage from a local television station showed Spears, surrounded by six police cars, a fire engine and hordes of paparazzi, stretchered out of her Los Angeles home and into a waiting ambulance at around 11pm (0700GMT Friday).
