The police given a free hand to pick up citizens and ask their identity proof and if they don't, action will be taken. The LG order give powers to inquire the Delhi citizen's,residential and work place proof but has a large migrant population for them they need to be registered with police station which are not equipped to hold the data's.Power with police is good for verifications purposes.
