The media had reports that Prakash Industries Ltd may raise Rs. 1,000 crore via SPV Prakash Thermal Power.
The National Stock Exchange Of India, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
Prakash Industries Ltd has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We would like to bring to your notice that the company has signed an MOU with Madhya Pradesh state government for setting up 1000 MW power plant in the state for which the company has already intimated to the Exchange. However we would like to inform that the news has been released by the media based on their assumptions may be from this announcement and not based on any information from the Company." -- www.nseindia.com
