Missing pregnant marine Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach is dead. Her body has not yet been recovered. A witness phoned detectives and told them she was dead and where her body was buried.
Lauterbach has been dead for some time. LE, in a press conferences going on now, indicates that a fellow officer that Lauterbach had accused of raping her, Cpl. Cesar Armando Lauren 21, is now a suspect in missing pregnant marine's death.
This officer left the area at 4:am ET this morning and has not been seen for eight hours. The officer hired three attorneys after yesterdays press conference. No charges have been filed yet.
At the press conference Special Marine Investigator, Paul Ciccarelli said that until approximately 24 hour ago, this officer was not considered a flight risk or considered a danger to Lauterbach.
The latest is that the authorities were given the name of the street where her body was buried so it shouldn't take search dogs too long to find missing marine's remains. - Source: sprocket-trials.blogspot.com

#1 Things taken too lightly
I was a victim of sexual assualt when in the Marine Corps. it happened in 2003 and I was discharged medically in 2005 because of PTSD from the incident. I went through hell. I was only a PFC in MOS school and the offenders were a SSGT and 2 Sgt instructors. They put me in protective custody after the incident which was with a female instructor on base who was very good friends with the SSgt that assaulted me and it was only for one night. During the whole investigation the military kept sending me home and then sending me back to the base and putting me up in base housing only a few doors away from one of the offenders. I was scared out of my mind that they were going to hurt me or worse the whole time. They then sent me by myself to Pensicola, FL a few days before the trial in a gov't vehicle. The trial lasted a week. After the verdict came in and it was guilty, I found out later that night that the tires on my car back at the base had all been slashed. I feared for my life because these higher ranking marines threatened my friend and I constantly. The Marines ended up getting off lightly and are out there now. Two got bad conduct discharges and one is still in the corps. I was not protected at all while all of the investigations were going on. I was left out in the open for anything to happen. The judge in the trial did not seem to care about the facts or anything. He was more concerned with the way the military (JAG) attorneys presented their case. The judge thought that the defense attorney presented his case better and I believe that is why they got a lighter sentence. I wish the jury could have set the sentencing. The whole court thing was a joke!! I did not see justice to its fullest whatsoever and the handling of the investigation was horrible too. They did nothing to protect the victim. Maybe if they had done more to protect Lauterbach during the investigations and prior to the trial things would have turned out differently. If it wasn't for prayer, I believe I may have been a victim of a like outcome.
#2 Maria Lauterbach Dead.
They need to catch this guy fast.
Cesar Armando Laurean is a scumbag killer who picks on girls.
What a coward he is.
The best word for him is loser.
I hope he gets mad and comes after me because I laugh at him all over the Internet.
I would love to come face to face with that jerk.
Maria will always be an angel.
May she rest in peace!

#3 Rape, kidnap, and Death of Maria Lauterbach
I watched the 1.5 hour Dog & Pony Show the Marine Corps JAGs put on trying to save their IMAGE. I had some questions:
Why if she reported rape in April/May did they SCHEDULE the first hearing on her DUE DATE?
Why wasn't Laurean charged with ''Adultery?"
Why wasn't Laurean charge with fraternization with a subordinate?
Why was Laurean considered the good guy?
Why did they CHOOSE to brand Lauterbach as AWOL UA insted of a Missing Person?
Why was a Military Protective Order issued since they didn't consider her to be in danger?
Obviously the Marines' first duty is to their IMAGE and MISSION. It is not just the Marines either. It seem all the military considers it the duty of a female troop to submit to the male sperm -- it is sick and it has always been this way.
Shame on the Marines -- by the way -- on Sept. 24, 2004, Camp Lejuene was reported to have the 2nd Highest Rate of Children age 0 to 10 KILLED DURING CHILD ABUSE by military parents. And their solution to this report was to KILL THE NEWS. i think the report can be found on the www.stopfamilyviolence.com or .org I read it somewhere .. and it was on TV one time in Fayetteville; Fort Bragg was in 1st Place for having Highest Rate of Children age 0 to 10 KILLED DURING CHILD ABUSE by military parents. This was a 16-year study by a NC Child Advocacy Institute.
RIP: Lance Cpl Maria Lauterbach
