A Grand New Year For Live Theatre

Make a resolution to visit Blackpool's Grand Theatre in 2008 and you will experience everything from opera, ballet, plays, comedies, musicals, contemporary drama and dance to fun children's shows and of course pantomime!

Just announced, to top off an already eclectic and exciting 2008 programme at the Grand, is the smooth return of the Rat Pack Live from Las Vegas; the non-stop Motown party Dancing In The Streets; gory and fun kids favourite Horrible Histories, the rocking return of Solid Silver 60s, spooky psychic medium Colin Fry, outrageous A-list air-hostess Pam Ann and classical superstar Alfie Boe!

The sensational sound of Motown hits Blackpool's Grand in Dancing In The Streets from Monday 21st April to Saturday 26th April. Experience all the energy, the excitement, the emotion and the electricity of Motown in spectacular celebration of classic music from the heart of the Motor City – Detroit!

Pam Ann – Terror at 41,000 Feet jets into the Grand on Sunday 25th May. Written and performed by Caroline Reid, wickedly caustic comic Pam Ann is back! Whatever happened to the golden age of flying? When the ladies always wore a heel, donned their finest couture and had hairdos so big they could barely get on board. In those days passengers would sit in the cockpit drinking champagne with the captain en-route to LA. The only exciting thing about flying these days is the thought that we may not all get off the plane alive! Where's the glamour? Where's the fun? Classical superstar Alfie Boe wowed audiences earlier this month when he joined the Salvation Army Band in seasonal song.
