Columbus Geographic Systems (GIS) Ltd. ("Columbus") (Pink Sheets: CGSE.PK) announced today that are in contact with the truck and sport utility vehicle (SUV) division of Mercedes Benz, the German-based global auto manufacturer, to examine integrating their off-road navigation solution in the in-car PC system.

This is part of the Columbus' strategy to integrate their off-road navigation solution in the in-car PC system included in each new vehicle.

Mercedes-Benz has expressed interest in Columbus' advanced system, Ranger, which provides an advanced navigation solution to drivers operating in cross- country and off-road environments. Mercedes-Benz is now conducting trials with Ranger to better understand its capabilities and determine how to implement the system in the in-car PC systems.

"This is our first contact with a global manufacturer of commercial vehicles," said Columbus CEO Tsvika Freidman. "Our navigation solution meets a very clear need for off-road navigation, particularly for truck and 4x4 cross country vehicle drivers. We are very excited that a leading player such as Mercedes-Benz is evaluating Ranger, however there is no guarantee they will finally implement the product. This is a very important step for our company and we look forward to updating our shareholders on progress in these discussions in the coming months."
