Mince Beef Scandal Continues In Sweden

In yet another twist to the ongoing mince beef scandal, imported meat at an Ica supermarket in Varberg has been discovered to have been re-labelled.

The meat originated from New Zealand and when sold in the supermarket a Swedish flag had been put on the packaging together with a new used-by-date.

According to a report in Halland News the scandal was exposed by a customer who discovered that the packaging still had markings from New Zealand on it.

The meat is thought to have been frozen and then later taken onto the shop shelves. Prosecutors have now been brought in to investigate the incident.- Source: By SRI News
