Australia Wins Target 413 at Perth

Eleven wickets fell on a dramatic third day's play,both team looked evenly poised for the game. India at one stage of 125/5 looked in miserable sight.

Perth, 18 Jan:India on third day of third test between Australia and India at WACA ground has see-saw battle of two teams.

Australia were all out for212 runs in reply of India"s first inning of 330 runs.India"s second inning saw the trio ace Indian batsmen Sachin-13, Sourav-0 and Rahul-3, failed to live up to their promise but Virender-43 helped India to good start with Irfan-46 ,Laxman -79, and MS Dhoni-38,seventh wicket partnership of seventy five runs put India score at 235 and RP Singh-30 sensible batting took the score to respectable figure of 294 runs with a lead of 118 runs in the first innings.Australia needs to score 413 runs to win at Perth, seventeenth win a record.

Australians were struggling at 65 for two at close on the third day still needing 348 runs to overhaul the target.Captain Ricky Ponting (24) and Michael Hussey (5) were at the crease.Irfan Patel was the chief wrecker of Aussie openers,the

left-arm seamer managed to get some swing to send back both the Australian openers Chris Rogers (15) and Phil Jacques (16) to put the hosts on the back foot.
