Nevada Caucus Results: Clinton, Romney Are The Winners

(HULIQ) - Nevada Caucus results are coming out and as Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney have a wide lead HULIQ projects Clinton and Romney to be the leaders of Nevada Caucus Results. AP already reports Clinton and Romney the winners in Nevada Primary.

Nevada Caucus is a historical event and earlier the Democratic Party of Nevada had already reported record number of turnout.

Nevada Caucus Results

Democrats

Clinton 51%
Obama 45%
Edwards 4%

Republicans

Romney 52%
Paul 13%
McCain 13%
Thompson 8%
Huckabee 8%
Giuliani 4%

On the Democrati side in the past the winner had always been chosen by the time the Nevada Caucus rolled around, so past analysis is of little use. John Kerry, Al Gore and Bill Clinton have won the past Democratic Nevada Caucuses and the nomination.

The Republican Caucus has been moved up and this will push Nevada into the forefront of the Republican nomination. McCain should have been the hands down favorite being the senator of the neighboring state of Arizona as well as the most experienced and qualified candidate, but his campaign stumbled early on and now it is a wide-open race.

Nevada Republican spokesperson Steve Wark has interesting comments about Nevada Caucus this year. "This is the very first time since 1926 that a sitting president or vice president has not been running for the nomination in either one of the two parties. And so it's a wide open, fluid landscape that both parties are playing on," he said.

On the Democratic side, a poll by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, released Friday, showed Senator Hillary Clinton with a nine point lead over Senator Barack Obama, with former Senator John Edwards in third place.

Among Republicans, the poll showed former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney leading Senator John McCain by 15 points. Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee was in third place.

All of these results turned out to be almost 100 percent correct as Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney won Nevada Caucus today. Ron Paul's coming second was an interesting surprise and if there have been people who have underestimated Ron Paul and overestimated John McCain (third result) have probably reviewed their opinions after seeing the outcomes of Nevada Caucus results.
