Access Economics released its outlook for the December quarter today.
Director Chris Richardson says most states will perform well over the next financial year but with a few notable exceptions.
"Victoria has dropped off the pace a little of late, New South Wales having been weak for several years now is slowly starting to show some signs of recovery," he said.
He says predicted high consumer spending and Australia's strategic trade partnership with China will further buoy the national economy.
"Despite a slow down in the United States, the back drop for Australia's 2008 is still very good."
