The centre's state secretary, Trudy Maluga says the Tasmanian Government wrongfully put more than 20 Aboriginal children in state care last year.
The accusation came a day after the Premier, Paul Lennon announced the successful claimants for Tasmania's stolen generations compensation.
Ms Maluga says the government must urgently address the situation.
"Just yesterday, the first cousin of one of those families who were compensated, had their children taken away by the state, and indeed most of those Aboriginal children removed in the last year, are direct family members of those compensated yesterday," she said.
"We are demanding that the minister, Lara Giddings, allows us to check out these child welfare officers, many of whom have no experience with Aboriginal people,
"We insist they're not allowed near our families with their rigid, ignorant and uncaring attitudes," she said.
The Deputy Secretary of Human Services, Alison Jacob, says the days when children were taken from their families on the basis of race are long gone.
Ms Jacob says children are not removed from their families unless there is compelling evidence that they are at risk of abuse and neglect - and that evidence has to be enough to convince a magistrate to grant an order.
