The Monte Carlo Hotel Casino in Las Vegas is on fire. It appears a good portion of the facade on the front of The Monte Carlo Hotel Casino in Las Vegas is on fire. The hotel is being evacuated.

Firefighters are currently battling a blaze at the Monte Carlo hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Reportedly, the fire began at around 11 a.m. and is burning on the top floors and roof of the hotel. The recently remodeled hotel, which has more than 3,000 rooms, is owned by MGM Mirage.

There is no word on how the fire started and FOX News is reporting that four workers are trapped on the roof of the Monte Carlo Hotel Casino in Las Vegas.

AP reports "Huge crowds formed to watch the fire, and traffic on the Las Vegas Strip was gridlocked as streets were blocked off around the hotel. Helicopters circle overhead."

The Monte Carlo Resort & Casino has more than 3,000 guest rooms and opened in June 1996.

It looks to me like the fire started in some type of HVAC system. I have no proof of this but it looks like it from the location and the way it burned from the start.

Unless you are out there assisting in this matter, you should have no comment on how long it takes. You don't know the situation. All you see is a fire!

Once again, you have no idea or proof. Just a guess!

Truth is there were no hoses

Truth is there were no hoses being used that were installed at the Hotel. Instead the CCFD dragged their own hoses up 50 stories, that is why it took so long to put a drop of water on the fire.

The fire started from a spark from a welders torch who was working on HVAC Units on the roof, just as reported.
