Bernadette Peters To Perform At McCallum Theatre

Long acknowledged as one of Broadway's finest singing actresses, the vivacious Bernadette Peters is a performer of unparalleled versatility, talent and charm. Her sweet, yet intelligent, delivery of timeless Broadway standards showcases her astonishing range. Throughout her illustrious career, Tony Award-winning actress Bernadette Peters has dazzled audiences with her performances on stage, on television and in film, in concert, and in the recording industry.

Bernadette made her Broadway debut in 1967 in Johnny No-Trump, and in 1968, starred in the musical George M!, earning a Theatre World Award. That same year, she received a Drama Desk Award for her show stopping performance in Dames at Sea, and quickly became one of the brightest stars in musical theatre. Bernadette received a Tony Award and a Drama Desk Award for her performance in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Song and Dance.

She garnered Tony nominations for her performances in The Goodbye Girl, Sunday in the Park with George, Mack and Mabel, and On The Town. In addition, she earned a Drama Desk nomination for her electrifying portrayal of the Witch in Into the Woods. Bernadette earned a Tony Award, a Drama Desk Award, and an Outer Critics Circle Award for her portrayal of Annie Oakley in the revival of Annie Get Your Gun.

A performer of amazing versatility, Bernadette has lit up both the television screen and the silver screen. She received a Golden Globe Award for her performance in Pennies from Heaven. Her additional film credits include The Jerk, The Longest Yard, Silent Movie, Annie, Pink Cadillac, Slaves of New York, Alice and Impromptu.
