Orthodox celebrate Christmas and Catholics Epiphany

The Catholic Church is celebrating the Feast of the Epiphany. This year the Church is calling especially for more involvement in the missionary activity. Missionaries will be telling about their evangelization and charity work in churches around the country, at the same time raising funds for the needy in world's poorest countries.

Meanwhile the Orthodox Church is celebrating Christmas Eve, just 13 days after other Christian denominations. After a whole day of fasting, the faithful will meet for Christmas Eve dinner tonight. There are around 600 thousand members of the Orthodox Church living in Poland. Half of that are residents of the north eastern Podlaskie province.
