When Super Bowl XLII kicks off at 6:30 p.m. ET there will be plenty of history on the line as Tom Brady looks to lead the New England Patriots to their fourth Super Bowl title in six years and cement the first perfect season since the Miami Dolphins finished the 1972 season unblemished.

Brady, already an MVP in two Super Bowls, has heard his names mentioned among the greatest of all time and a win in Sunday’s match-up against the Giants could further solidify some claims that there have been none better.

After a record-setting regular season in which he threw 50 touchdown passes Brady paced the Patriots to the first 16-0 regular season record in NFL history and then guided them to a pair of playoff wins to land a Super Bowl birth.

The road was a little more tumultuous for New York starting quarterback Eli Manning who has had to listen to questions about his leadership and the always encompassing shadow of older brother Peyton Manning. Despite all the difficulties, Manning has his team playing in the NFL’s biggest game in what has been a flawless playoff run for the 27-year-old.

While Manning reached the Super Bowl quicker than Peyton, he certainly doesn’t want to take comfort in that fact. Manning wants nothing less than a Super Bowl victory on Sunday and with one he can silence the critics who still question his decision making and overall leadership abilities.

It will all be settled by the end of the night after the New England Patriots battle the New York Giants for four quarters in Arizona. The game will be broadcast on FOX with kickoff time scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET.
