A remote-control roadside bomb killed two Afghan children and two women traveling in a vehicle near the border with Pakistan.
Police blamed militants fighting the government for the attack on the family in Khost Province.
Police officer Wazir Mohammad said the attack was the work of Taliban and Al-Qaeda. He said the two groups are trying to destabilize the security situation in Afghanistan.
