New Round in Volvo-Trial

Sweden-based car manufacturer Volvo faces a new compensation trial in France.

Two weeks ago, Volvo was found guilty of manslaughter over a car accident in France and was fined 300.000 dollars. The French court had ruled that Volvo was indirectly responsible for the crash which killed two children when they were run over by a Volvo model with faulty breaks.

The driver of the car was handed a suspended prison sentence.

But now all the parties involved have decided to appeal. It is still unclear when the trial will resume.
