Award-winning jazz act The Neil Cowley Trio, have showcased work from their new album at a concert held at the University.
Organised by the School of Music as part of their annual concert series, the Neil Cowley Trio performed a selection of songs from their new album Loud… Louder… Stop, which is released in March.
The sell-out event was held at the University Concert Hall on Corbett Road, and added to the programme of events currently underway for the University’s 125th anniversary celebrations.
The Neil Cowley Trio won the Best Album award at the 2007 BBC Jazz Awards for their debut album Displaced. The trio consists of pianist Neil Cowley, Richard Sadler on double bass, and Evan Jenkins on drums.
The event builds on an already successful concert series for the School of Music, which last week welcomed leading soprano Dame Emma Kirkby to the University.
